Southside Baptist Church About Us

Southside Baptist Church is one of Sarasota's oldest and most distinguished churches having served her community for more than 50 years. Southside has been recognized among the leading churches in evangelism and growth in Florida, having been recognized five times by Southern Seminary as being in the top 1/2 of 1% of churches in the Southern Baptist Convention in Evangelistic Effectiveness. The blended worship services are marked by inspirational singing and sweet fellowship. Believing that the Bible holds the answer to the problems that people face in life, Southside places a major emphasis upon the preaching and teaching of God's Word. There is Bible study for all ages each Sunday morning as well as periodic intensive study projects. Each week the pastor brings challenging expository messages from God's Word.
